getting-started / v0.5 — connect your agent, then ask it

v0.5: adds VS Code, Visual Studio, JetBrains AI Assistant and Windsurf to the MCP clients, and the one-click install for VS Code and Cursor. v0.4 is still served as GET /specs/getting-started/v0.4.

v0.4: rewritten for how a4sx is used today. You connect your agent once, sign in with one browser approval, and ask your agent for what you want. The workspace quick start this page used to be (admin and read tokens, stations, producers) is still served as GET /specs/getting-started/v0.3. Running a workspace is covered by Running a workspace (GET /specs/user-onboarding/latest).

a4sx is agent-first. Almost everything here is meant to be done through your agent: it searches the marketplace, saves your sessions, and resumes them on your behalf. Connect it once, over MCP or with the /orient brief, and use the web UI as your overview and fallback. You need the web UI only for things that take your own hands: signing in, paying, and approving what your agent asks you to approve.

The addresses below are for the public service, https://session-exchange.com. On another a4sx host, use that host's own address; its Connect your agent page (/guide/connect) fills it in.
